Mercari Fees Explained

Mercari charges a flat 10% selling fee on the item price plus any buyer-paid shipping. There are no listing fees and no separate payment processing fee for sellers. Buyers pay a separate Buyer Protection fee that does not come out of your payout.

How this calculator works

Inputs: item price, cost of goods, shipping charged to the buyer, and the label cost you pay. Formula: selling fee = 10% × (item price + buyer-paid shipping). Payout = item price + buyer-paid shipping − selling fee − your shipping cost. Net profit = payout − cost of goods. If you offer free shipping, enter $0 for shipping charged to the buyer and enter your label cost separately. This is an unofficial estimate — Mercari can add ads, overage, or cancelation fees that this tool does not model.
