How selling on eBay works

eBay charges when you list (after free insertion allowance) and when the item sells (final value fee on the total sale, plus a small per-order fee in most US categories). Rates vary by category and seller level.

Our US calculator models common category final value fees, the $0.30/$0.40 per-order fee, and optional insertion. It is an unofficial estimate — confirm on eBay’s selling fees page.

How ListFlow works with eBay

On a live listing in desktop Chrome — eBay or another supported site — ListFlow shows an icon. Click it, select the marketplaces you want (including eBay), and click Crosslist.

ListFlow does not pick the perfect eBay category for every item, does not manage stores, and does not auto-delist when the item sells on another site.

  3. Click the icon, select the marketplaces you want to crosslist onto, and click Crosslist.

Listing requirements

eBay commonly needs a category, item specifics (brand, size, UPC when required), condition, return policy, and a shipping option. ListFlow fills what it copied from the source listing; leftover required fields are yours.

Auction vs Buy It Now, lots, and vehicle categories are outside what this page claims. If eBay blocks a field, follow eBay — not a workaround.

Common seller problems

  • Copied fashion listings often still need eBay item specifics before you can publish.
  • Fees are not a flat 13.6% on every category. Use the eBay fee calculator and eBay’s own fee page.
  • Sales tax collected from the buyer can increase the final value fee base even though that tax is not your payout.
  • No auto-delist: a Poshmark sale will not end the eBay listing.

If you need a paid dashboard instead
